glulam

Glulam - Glued Laminated Timber

Glulam is produced by combining kiln-dried and strength-class timber lamellas with durable structural adhesives. Preferred for beam, column, arch and frame applications, this product stands out with both its structural performance and visual appearance.

Structural and Aesthetic Advantages

  • Strength/Weight Ratio: Higher ratio than steel; Provides lighter foundation and faster assembly.
  • Design Freedom: Can be produced in straight, curved or tapered profiles; It enables architectural forms that cannot be achieved with steel or concrete.
  • Natural Aesthetics: The warm appearance of wood texture creates comfortable interior spaces by eliminating the need for additional surface covering.
  • Fire Performance: Glows predictably; It maintains its load-carrying capacity well beyond unprotected steel sections.
  • Dimensional Stability: Factory drying and lamination eliminates the warping and warping problems of solid timber.
  • Long Spans: Glulam beams can reach spans not exceeding 30 m; Suitable for gyms and industrial buildings.
